Summary Under minimal supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, within the nurse's competencies following established standards and practices. Supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Requirements
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.
- REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for all Surgical Services areas. AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role for Post Anesthesia Care Unit.

- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course
- PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Surgery - CNOR Board eligible/certified Post Anesthesia-CPAN Board eligible/certified GI Lab -SGNA Board eligible/certified
