Position Overview: Provides professional Perianesthesia nursing care. Coordinates patient care planning with other hospital disciplines. May perform specialized tasks as outlined in the position competency check-off and task elements. Participates in unit-based educational activities

Requirements

Current CA Registered Nurse License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) Certification (required for Pre-op and PACU and GI)
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required for Pre-op and PACU)
One (1) year of acute care nursing experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) (Pre-op and PACU)
Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) (Pre-op Clinic, Pre-op and PACU)
ASPAN membership (Pre-op Clinic, Pre-op and PACU)
PANAC membership (Pre-op Clinic, Pre-op and PACU)
Knowledge of Det Norske Veritas (DNV)
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Word Processing software
Bilingual in English and Spanish
