Registered Nurse (RN) – School Nursing
About The Position
What Your Days Look Like You’ll provide nursing support within the school setting, including: Providing 1:1 nursing care for a student with complex health needs, supporting independence and safe participation in the school day Monitoring health status and managing chronic conditions according to individualized care plans Administering medications and treatments as prescribed Assessing and responding to illness, injuries, or medical emergencies during the school day Maintaining accurate health records and documenting care provided Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to support student health plans, including IEPs and 504 plans Serving as a health resource for the school community and providing guidance or training to staff as needed Program Details Small program with approximately 30 students Emotionally impaired school setting Primary responsibility is supporting one middle school–aged student who requires ongoing chronic disease management during the school day Strong communication and relationship-building skills are important when supporting the student in this environment. Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with middle school–aged students
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) within 90 days of hire
- Background check and fingerprinting will be required for this role

- Experience working with pediatric patients, school settings, or chronic disease management preferred
