About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services Team in our Same Day Care department. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus along with relocation assistance, plus 30 days of housing. Contact Human Resources at 907-796-8418 for details. Pay Information: Internal Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms. External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience. RN 1 starts at $38.90 per hour, RN 2 starts at $44.09 per hour, RN 3 starts at $46.29 per hour.

Requirements

• Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• For RN 1: New graduate RNs or RNs with less than one (1) year current acute care or comparable experience.
• For RN 2: At least one (1) year continuous experience in a comparable patient care setting.
• For RN 3: Three (3) years of current clinical experience or one (1) year of experience as a Bartlett RN II.
• BSN preferred for RN 3.
• Proficient clinical competency in primary specialty and a minimum of experience in one (1) float area required when promoting.
• Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a float area for RN 3.
• Leadership experience for RN 2.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care in predictable situations to a limited number of patients under direct supervision.
• Render individualized nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care.
• Participate in hospital committees and teams as appropriate.
• Independently plan and implement routine nursing care using standards and knowledge obtained during education and preceptorship.
• Assume leadership responsibility and maintain effective working relationships.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to meet the patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs.
• Respond to Rapid Response Team and Code Team situations.
