About The Position

The Portage County Health Care Center is looking to hire Registered Nurses! We have Part time or On-call positions available (8 - 36 hours / wk schedule options.) Some of the part time positions are eligible for benefits! Do you enjoy serving the elderly and those going through physical rehab? Do you have good nursing skills and the desire to work with our family at the Portage County Health Care Center? The County operates a 5 STAR skilled nursing home where we care for family members and those who are recuperating from illness or surgery. Our people are what make us great- consider joining our team! Starting minimum pay is $32.87 / hour. PM Shift pays $32.87 / hour PLUS a $2.00 / hour shift premium so you make $34.87 / hour! PM Shift hours range between 2:00 - 10:30 pm.

Requirements

• Associate degree in nursing.
• Registration as a nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
• Experience in restorative nursing, psychiatric nursing, medical nursing or geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to the residents.
• Supervises the day to day nursing activities performed by all nursing staff.
• Ensures that nursing activities are in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility.
• Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing to maintain the highest degree of quality care.
