About The Position

The Richmond Float Team offers flexibility for Registered Nurses (RNs) who are willing to float between various facilities and units. The Float nurse will adhere to all Bon Secours policies and procedures while providing care across multiple sites in the Richmond market, including St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, Richmond Community Hospital, Memorial Regional Medical Center, and Southside Medical Center. The role requires floating between Med Surg, Ortho, Oncology, Telemetry, and Behavioral Health units, with a requirement for floor med/surg experience in Behavioral Health. The position offers self-scheduling, with a commitment of 36 hours a week, including one summer and one winter holiday, and every third weekend. Full-time night or day shifts are available, with shift differentials for night and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Two or more years of clinical RN experience required in Behavioral Health and Med Surg

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide advanced treatment and care to patients with complex diagnoses
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and Bon Secours policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
