About The Position

As a Resource Team RN, you will play a vital role in the assessments and plans of your patients at both our Banner University Medical Center Tucson and Banner University Medical Center South Tucson campuses. This position is part of Clinical Care Operations, which is the hub of patient management for the campus, including bed assignment, unit staffing, house supervision, emergency preparedness (code events and internal disasters), and patient transports. In your role as a Registered Nurse with our Resource Team Float Pool, you will support the clinical needs of multiple units throughout the hospital (Progressive Care, Med/Surg, Outpatient Observation, and more). In addition, we are always looking to grow our team members by expanding skillsets based off of quarterly goal planning with your management team. Opportunity to work Full Time, 3x12-hour Day Shift (7:00AM- 7:30PM) with weekend rotations. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable. As an added bonus, Float Pool RN's also enjoy an additional $3/hr float incentive on top of base pay.

Requirements

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and patient, family and health team input.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the activities of the health care team.
• Evaluates the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, and revises the plan of care as needed.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
• Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice.
• Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care.
• Interacts with all levels of staff in a variety of departments, physicians, patients, families and external contacts concerning the health care of the patient.
