Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown is a 64-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown strives to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provide patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Work cooperatively and actively participate with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
