The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care through
assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary
coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.

Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Madison is a brand new, 40-bed bed
inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Madison, Mississippi opening this
fall. It is part of

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• Minimum six months’ Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify individual care needs.
• Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Deliver care appropriate to the condition and age of each patient.
• Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
• Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
