About The Position

At Baptist Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital - Germantown, the Registered Nurse (RN) Rehabilitation role is driven by a commitment to prioritize the well-being of staff to ensure exceptional patient care. This position is vital to making communities healthier by providing direct patient care through assessments, nursing interventions, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. The hospital is a 64-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced debilitating effects of severe injury or illness. It offers customized, individualized rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury, striving to maximize their health, function, and quality of life.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail in clinical documentation is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
  • Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document medical necessity and nursing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete and revise Interdisciplinary Care Plans for assigned patients.
  • Perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
