About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Recovery Room-PACU at Wellstar Health System is responsible for providing exemplary patient-centered care during the recovery phase post-anesthesia. This part-time night position requires a commitment to excellence in nursing practice, collaboration with healthcare teams, and adherence to evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requirements

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
• Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required upon hire.
• Minimum of 5 years direct patient care nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the Nursing Process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts to the individual needs of patients.
• Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care.
• Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration within the healthcare team to promote a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support shared governance.
• Complete ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nursing staff and students.
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in nursing research activities.
• Plan for patient care across the continuum and develop protocols in collaboration with the healthcare team.
