About The Position

The Rapid Response team at High Point Medical Center provides immediate clinical support during acute deterioration, responding to all rapid response and code events throughout the hospital. As a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse, you will be crucial in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and effective communication to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum. High Point Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, is a 351-bed hospital serving the High Point community and surrounding areas, offering a wide range of patient- and family-centered care, including emergency services, cardiovascular services, various surgeries (vascular, general, bariatric, neurosurgery, orthopedic, spine), women’s services (OB, GYN surgery, GYN oncology), behavioral health, and inpatient rehabilitation. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Greater than 1 year of RN experience.

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
  • Provide immediate clinical support during acute deterioration.
  • Respond to all rapid response and code events.
