About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Rapid Response Team at Ascension Health is responsible for providing direct nursing care in critical situations, ensuring patient safety and well-coordinated care. This role involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient conditions, and coordinating with healthcare teams for effective discharge planning. The RN will work in a full-time night shift capacity within the Critical Care Unit (ICU) at Ascension Resurrection in Chicago, IL.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
