About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiology Care Unit position is a full-time role requiring 72 hours per pay period with flexible shifts of 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour durations. The role includes on-call requirements and a commitment to weekends and holidays as per department guidelines. The Radiology Care Unit (RCU) provides a variety of services including paracentesis, CT guided biopsies, Fluoro guided LP/myelograms, US guided biopsies, and CT guided drain placements, along with monitoring and recovery of general anesthesia and moderate sedation.

Requirements

• BSN required or commitment to obtaining within three years of hire.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• At least two years of experience in acute care, preferably in Critical Care, Stepdown, ED, or PACU.
• PALS certification preferred, must obtain within 6 months.
• IV certification preferred.
• Moderate sedation experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in critical care settings.
• Additional certifications in nursing specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Radiology Care Unit.
• Perform procedures such as paracentesis and biopsies.
• Monitor patients during and after procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation and manage recovery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
