The second largest employer in the City of Danville, the facility has served the community and region for more than 120 years and was formerly known as The Memorial Hospital and Danville Regional Medical Center. Danville has comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, a home health & hospice agency, an advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, two cardiac catheterization labs, a one-day surgery center, and medical & radiation oncology services. What we’re looking for The right candidate will manage the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current VA RN license or compact state
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support required
  • Experience in acute care hospital, preferred

  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
  • Assesses learning needs and delivers age/culture-appropriate patient/family education.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may take on-call assignments.
