About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The Radiation Oncology Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy. This role supports patients and families throughout the cancer care continuum, coordinates with the multidisciplinary team, ensures safe delivery of treatment, and promotes patient education and advocacy.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing
- 1 year of RN experience or completion of an RN Residency program.
- Current ONCC® Radiation Therapy Certificate or obtained within 3 years of hire.
- Current IL or MI state Nursing License
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- 1 year or more of Oncology nursing in an outpatient setting
