About The Position

This position may be a member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to provide integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnosis or substance use disorders. Provides oversight and general nursing care and services to persons with behavioral health challenges in the community by performing the duties listed in this job description. Relies on education, skill, and judgment to provide quality services to the people we serve with limited direction and supervision.

Requirements

  • Requires a unencumbered Registered Nursing License.
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associates Degree in Nursing.
  • Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided.
  • Valid driver's license including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer one year of nursing experience.
  • Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
  • Some college training and/or management experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing nursing assessment skills and knowledge to assess and monitor clients.
  • Participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.
  • Responding to crises on a timely basis.
  • Following the supports and services as indicated in the recipients Crisis Plan.
  • Participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Complying with Controlled Substances policy and procedures.
  • Monitoring consumers and taking appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
  • Assisting team members with assessing learning needs of the consumers.
