About The Position

Harris Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to prioritizing employee well-being to provide exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will join a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. The team operates a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, staffed with RNs, CNAs, Telemetry Techs, and unit secretaries. This unit specializes in care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions, offering a dynamic environment to utilize advanced monitoring technology to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes for a diverse patient population.

Requirements

  • Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

  • One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
