About The Position

This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree Nursing (ADN) Required
• Current state RN license or a current multistate compact license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs
• Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Develops individual nursing care plans
• Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed
• Evaluates patient care outcomes
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition
• Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given
