Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse Licensure unencumbered.
• Acute care, med-surg, critical care or ICU experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ICU, LTAC, or Step-down units for at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a long-term acute care setting.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and co-workers about changes in patients' clinical conditions.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
