About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is a PRN role for a 13-week assignment at a Shreveport LTACH, offering a competitive pay rate of $55 per hour. The RN will be responsible for delivering, directing, and supervising patient care under the guidance of nursing leadership, while also engaging in interdisciplinary planning and patient education.

Requirements

• RN License in the state of Louisiana.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
• Higher comfort level working with vents, trachs, and PICC lines.
• Two years of experience in direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary and discharge planning.
• Teach patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
• Access community resources for patient support.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities.
