About The Position

Texas Health HEB is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN Level III position in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) Unit. This role is based at the Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital, which features a 9 bed L&D unit, a 4 bed OB ED, and 3 OR suites, with an average of 200 deliveries per month. The unit is equipped with a Level II NICU and holds a Maternal Designation III. The position requires a minimum of 6 shifts every 6 weeks, including 2 weekend shifts and 1 major or 2 minor holiday shifts. The work hours are from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Ability to work night shifts and meet the minimum shift requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar specialty certification.
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patients.
• Knowledge of nitrous oxide use in labor.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Assist in the delivery of newborns and care for mothers during and after childbirth.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and fetal heart rates during labor.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
