RN AH Carolinas Medical Center PreOp Screening FT Days
About The Position
Atrium Health Pre-Op Screening is part of the surgical division within the Charlotte Market. We are located in the Kenilworth Medical Office Building near CMC. We work with our anesthesia providers to complete a pre-op screen on patients prior to scheduled surgeries. We screen patients for CMC, Mercy and the One Surgery Center, approximately 150 procedures per day. The majority of the screenings are complete telephonically although we see some high-risk patients in the clinic. Our goal is to optimize patient safety and surgical outcomes. Monday-Friday (no weekends, no holidays, no on call). Hybrid work from home option following orientation and eligibility which takes approximately 6-8 months. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
