About The Position
Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a PRN - Registered Nurse PreOp PACU to join the team. Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Their mission is to provide first-class surgical services to the local community in a safe, comfortable, welcoming environment, one in which they would be happy to treat their own families. The center has 5 operating rooms offering a full range of surgical procedures including: Bariatrics, Colorectal, General Surgery/Robotics, GI, OB/Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Spine. The Registered Nurse PreOp PACU provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The RN may assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. The role also involves providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Requirements
- Ability to work at least 6 shifts/month
- Some availability on Fridays
- Flexibility in scheduling is required to ensure adequate coverage and support for departmental operations
Responsibilities
- Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients
