Requirements

ADN or BSN
Oklahoma or applicable Multi-state RN license
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
ACLS (within 30 days of hire)
PALS (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

One (1) year in a surgical setting

Responsibilities

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents patient care, including patient education, for all age groups, pediatric, adult and geriatric, peri-operative, and postoperative periods of the patient’s surgical experience.
Maintains a clean and safe environment, observe and enforces policies, procedures and practices of the Department of Surgical Services and the institution.
Uses the installed computer systems to support and augment services.
Requires flexible hours in order to staff the unit.
Covers mandatory call with a 20-minute response time.
The Registered Nurse may make decisions to delegate appropriate nursing tasks to other staff members based upon individual patient need and staff qualifications.
