Join our growing team! Our surgical department is made up of a 14 bed Pre-op, 4
bay PACU and 6 Operating Rooms. With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and OR
Assistants, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN,
Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Dental Extractions and Peds
Dental Restorations. This position will work in pre-anesthesia testing, where
the RN will manage patient records by contacting the patient and going over
medical history and medications and what to expect the day of surgery.

Requirements

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
