Requirements

• Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma.
• Current and active State of Florida or Multistate Nursing license.
• Two (2) years of NICU experience.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) required after 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• At least one-year experience in an area of Obstetrical/Perinatal Nursing.
• National Certification in area of practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in the direction and administration of the Obstetrical, or Newborn plan of care as appropriate.
• Ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care as defined by AdventHealth standards of nursing care.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care for each patient, based on identified needs/problems.
• Assure the implementation of the prescribed medical regimen, including administration of all IVs, blood and blood products.
• Assure the accurate processing of physicians' orders, including documentation of all verbal and telephone orders.
• Assure the documentation of the patient's response to nursing plan of care in all areas of the medical record.
• Prescribe, delegate and coordinate all nursing care as defined by and provided throughout the hospital.
