About The Position

The Post-Surgical Unit at Lexington Medical Center is a 15-bed unit dedicated to providing specialized care primarily for patients undergoing joint replacement, as well as those receiving urology and gynecology procedures. The unit is equipped with essential medical technology, including vital sign machines, IV pumps, Ice Man machines, and glucometers, to support comprehensive patient monitoring and care. In addition, staff routinely utilize mobility aids such as walkers and bedside commodes to assist patients in their recovery process. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred (required prior to completion of orientation)

Nice To Haves

  • Greater than 2 years of RN experience preferred
