The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Rheumatology Center in Richmond, VA offers a great work-life balance, is part-time, and does not require working weekends or nights. The RN will deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, coordinate care with health team members, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care.

Requirements

• Experience within a physician practice setting (preferred).
• Working knowledge of medical record format and content.
• Ability to review records and verify patient identification.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• High level of accuracy and ability to concentrate on detailed information.
• Valid nursing license from the state of practice (required).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• One (1) year of experience (preferred, not required).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Analyze assessment data and create a plan of care.
• Implement treatment and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Administer medications safely according to state practice and organizational policies.
• Serve as a point of contact for patient care coordination.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery.
• Restore, support, promote, rehabilitate, or palliate to maintain patient stability.
• Anticipate and respond to changing patient conditions.
• Assist in creating an environment that promotes educational growth opportunities for nursing peers.
