For more information, please visit us at www.gulfportbehavioral.com/ Position Summary: Join a team where the Outpatient Staff Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality general and psychiatric nursing care to child, adolescent, and adult outpatients treated for psychiatric or emotional disorders; serving actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program or unit philosophy of care; ensuring the safety and well-being of each patient. The Outpatient RN will assist with med management, assessments, and conduct nursing groups for outpatients. The position is PT (3 days/week) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
- Currently licensed to practice by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing
- CPR certification and CPI certification (Management of Aggressive Behavior) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Prefer two years’ work experience in an outpatient treatment setting with adults and/or children and adolescents.
