The Float Pool at St. Joseph Hospital provides the opportunity for experienced nurses (RN) to work throughout our hospital in a variety of units. Our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN will: Be responsible for floating between the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry departments Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the Medical-Surgical & Telemetry patient population Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. What you’ll bring: Passion for Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Nursing and caring for a diverse patient population

Requirements

  • 3+ Years of acute care nursing (RN) experience required
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree strongly preferred
  • Will consider candidates enrolled in an accredited BSN program

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for floating between the Medical-Surgical and Telemetry departments
