Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem
About The Position
Catholic Health Good Shepherd Hospice is looking for compassionate, caring RNs to provide End of Life care to patients in our 12 bed Inpatient Hospice Unit. Overnight per diem role (7:00PM to 7:30AM) Per diems must work at least 6 shifts per month Our Hospice RN’s: The Inpatient Hospice RN is responsible for providing nursing care to hospice patients, residents and/or family in our 12 bed unit located in Rockville Center, inside Mercy Hospital. Patient care focuses on on symptom management and pain control. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of hospice concepts, philosophy, policies and procedures. Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology preferred.
Requirements
- Current and valid NY State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- One to two years recent general bedside nursing experience with good clinical skills.
- New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year of recent hands on experience
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in home care, hospice and/or oncology preferred.
