About The Position

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical Unit III at the New Brunswick campus.

Requirements

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Nice To Haves

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• Telemetry and intermediate care RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice.
• Maintains a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience.
• Assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Responsible for knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
• Collaborates with other patient care providers.
• Sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care.
• Individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs.
