About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 14-week contract assignment at a leading acute care facility in the Bronx, NY. This role focuses on providing high-quality pre-operative and post-operative care to pediatric patients in a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital
• Strong skills in: Physical assessment Medication administration Wound care IV therapy Post-operative care Telemetry monitoring Patient and family education
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
• Current AHA BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized pediatric patient care plans
• Provide bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgical pediatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform dressing changes, insert catheters, and initiate IV therapy
• Monitor vital signs and specialized equipment, including telemetry
• Identify and report adverse reactions or changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control protocols
