About The Position

A hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) assignments on both day and night shifts . The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity trauma setting.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License
• Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience
• Experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor and interpret patient responses to treatments and interventions
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
• Document all care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Support patients and families with compassionate, age-appropriate communication
• Function independently in a fast-paced critical care environment with minimal orientation
