The Johns Hopkins Hospital – Bloomberg 9N is a Pediatric Cardiac & Transplant unit with Med/Surg overflow, caring for patients from newborns up to 22 years.

Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience
• 2 years in Pediatric Medicine: experienced in Med Surg and IMC level
• BLS certification
• Ventilator experience
• RN License
• EPIC experience
• MUST have 2 years of PEDs experience (MED SURG/ IMC)
• Pediatric-trained nurse
• Pediatric- IMC level RN to float down to Med-Surg units

Responsibilities

• Facilitating and coordinating care by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
• Providing direction to/management of other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Working collaboratively with, and providing leadership for, a multidisciplinary health care team to support program initiatives that support quality, safety, and excellence in care.
• Participating in promoting improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty.
• Implementing initiatives in area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.
• Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.
