About The Position

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine's is located on the north shore of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current New York State RN License required.
  • CNOR certification required or must be working toward certification.
  • Minimum of one year practice in a medical/surgical setting required.
  • One year experience in an Operating Room setting required.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes all components of the nursing process in coordinating a patient-focused team providing direct and collaborative health care in the Operating Room designed to promote and restore optimal health of the patient.
  • Utilizes all components of the nursing process in providing care that reflects an understanding of individual cultural and religious diversities and needs, and recognition of patient rights.
  • Utilizes knowledge and expertise in case management to provide comprehensive, coordinated, seamless care to individuals and aggregate groups.
  • Coordinates, integrates and facilitates the patient/provider relationship.
