The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Tampa AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years. The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases. The role you'll contribute: Responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to groups of patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position delivers patient-centered care by collaborating with physicians, patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. Additionally, this role administers medications and treatments as prescribed, monitors patient responses, and adjusts care plans as needed. In addition, this position supervises and teaches other personnel in the theory and performance of nursing acts, ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting body standards. Responsibilities for this role include maintaining high standards of care, promoting wellness, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team. The value you'll bring to the team: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses. Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care. Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements

  • Associates in Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse required
  • ACLS required
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - Required
