About The Position

The Pharmacist Lead at AdventHealth Avista is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing operational pharmacy services. This role involves coordinating daily activities of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure quality pharmacy services are delivered effectively.

Requirements

  • B.S. in pharmacy or Pharm D degree; Registered in Colorado.
  • Two years as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Leadership skills/experience.
  • RPh license required.
  • Attain professional growth by attending or participating in at least 15 hours of continuing education programs annually.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee operational pharmacy services.
  • Coordinate daily pharmacist and pharmacy technician activities in the main pharmacy.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and monitor patient medication orders in a timely manner.
  • Dispense medication accurately and timely following hospital formulary guidelines.
  • Demonstrate high tech skill level utilizing various pharmaceutical competencies.
  • Participate in Code-Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply.
