Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year of experience
  • Current California RN License
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS (may obtain within 3 months of hire)
  • ACLS (may obtain within one year of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of experience
  • Professional nursing certification
  • Pediatric nursing experience in a comparable, high-acuity department
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced, trauma-capable pediatric emergency department.
  • Perform clinical assessments, nursing interventions, and critical thinking to care for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary professionals in managing a wide range of emergencies - from mild illnesses to life-threatening trauma.
  • Participate in research, teaching, and quality improvement efforts to improve patient outcomes.
