About The Position

Inova Alexandria hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU)
Nurse. Inova’s Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2.  This is
a Part Time (4 or 5 shifts/week) to cover hours between 10.00am-4.00pm with
limited on call required for night, weekend, and holidays. Option for 4, 5 or 6
hour shifts.

The OR is equipped with 11 surgical suites.  Comprehensive range of surgical
specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine,
General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery,
podiatry, and maxillofacial.

Requirements

• One year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.
