About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital's Woodburn Surgery Center team is seeking a part-time experienced PACU registered nurse. Woodburn Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center that serves the community of Sports Medicine, Total Joints, hand and other outpatient orthopedic patients. The nurses in this unit care for the patient throughout all phases of Perianesthesia including Preop, Phase 1, and Phase 2 recovery. It is a fast-paced environment that focuses on strong teamwork and patient safety. Requirements

• One year of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience is required.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing; if RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of PACU or Critical Care Nursing (ICU/ED) experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients throughout all phases of Perianesthesia including Preop, Phase 1, and Phase 2 recovery.
• Work part-time hours with shifts covering until 6.30 and 7.30 pm.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure patient safety and quality care.
