The PeriOperative Units include the Outpatient Surgery Center PeriAnesthesia, Outpatient Surgery Center PACU, Outpatient Surgery Center PreOp, Orthopedic Center at Ivy Road, and Outpatient Ambulatory - PreAnesthesia Testing and Evaluation Clinic.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care in a fast-paced recovery area supporting 12 OR's with a diverse patient population.
• Adhere to ASPAN guidelines for nurse to patient ratios.
• Engage in professional development through formal education and certification.
• Participate in shared governance and quality improvement activities.
• Support onboarding of new team members and precept as applicable.
