About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) at Avera McKennan Hospital, where the work involves delivering nursing care in a safe and supportive environment. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 may be available.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice.
• Ability to work specified hours and perform essential job functions satisfactorily.
• Visual acuity and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories and examining patients.
• Teaches healthcare requirements to patients and their families.
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes.
• Maintains a safe and healthy patient care environment by following infection-control policies.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Keeps patient care equipment operating by following established procedures.
• Maintains competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership.
