About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. This position is a .6 FTE, working 48 hours per 2 week pay period. This position works 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation (Fri,Sat,Sun), and on the night 7:00pm-7:30am shift.

Requirements

Current MN RN License
BLS required.

Nice To Haves

BSN or BAN
1 - 3 years of experience

Responsibilities

Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
Develops an individualized nursing plan of care.
Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
Promotes a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) by participation in any of, but not limited to, the following activities:
Promotes an environment supportive of the health and wellbeing of patients, families as well as caregivers
Fulfills all organizational requirements
Performs other duties as assigned.
