UC Health is hiring a part time Registered Nurse (RN) for the ortho trauma department for the first Shift, 7AM-730PM at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This 28-bed unit works with the patient population admitted from the ER, PACU, and SICU. Nursing care is concentrated around recovering from traumatic injury with focus on mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs and pain management. This unit will also be working with ortho patients recovering from total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements as well as spinal surgery cases. UCMC is the area’s only Adult Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. Our patients arrive from injuries sustained by motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds and unforeseen accidents. We provide treatment of patients with severe and multiple fractures throughout the body, non-healing fractures, bone infections and other complex conditions.
