A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've provided spiritually motived care for the elderly of Columbus for over 65 years. We are seeking to hire a Registered Nurse - RN or LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - WEEKENDS. $29 to $42 per hour based on license, experience and shift. WEEKENDS ONLY: 7am to 7:30pm; 1st week = Saturday and Sunday and 2nd week = Friday, Saturday & Sunday. This is a brief overview of job responsibilities and not intended to be all inclusive. Requirements

  • Current licensure in the State of Ohio as an Registered Nurse - RN or LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification (must be BLS).
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Long-Term Care.

Responsibilities

  • Record resident's medical history.
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
  • Observe residents to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
  • Monitor resident's condition including fluid intake and output and compose resident charts.
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, clean and dress wounds and other basic medical care tasks.
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
  • Communicate with resident's family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions.
