About The Position

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a part-time 3rd shift Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role involves the administration of nursing measures, supervision, evaluation and planning of care, and communication with residents, family, and other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of the residents.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Must hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate interventions
Assists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the resident
Delivers resident medications timely and accurately
Communicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the resident
Encourages and maintains an open communication with resident and families
Assists with orientation of new personnel
Records progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providers
Provides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care plan
Participates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developments
Other duties as assigned
