We’re currently hiring a full-time Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for our Interventional Pain department. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in the procedure room, setting up sterile equipment and operating the c-arm, all while building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients. Requirements
- Nursing License is required.
- Previous clinic experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provides general care to patients.
- Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing.
- Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health.
- Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.
- Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
- Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Some essential functions may vary based on credentialing.
