About The Position

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a full-time 2nd shift nurse! Summary: Administration of nursing measures; supervision, evaluation and planning of care; and communication with residents, family, and other members of the health care team to meet the total needs of the residents

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Must hold an active Illinois Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assists in resident assessment and implementation of appropriate interventions
• Assists in planning of care to attain and/or maintain the highest possible level of health, independence, and mobility of the resident
• Delivers resident medications timely and accurately
• Communicates with physician and other health care providers to facilitate the overall health care of the resident
• Encourages and maintains an open communication with resident and families
• Assists with orientation of new personnel
• Records progress notes regularly to assure continuity of care and provide up-to-date information for physicians, consultants, nursing staff, and other health care providers
• Provides resident and family education where needed to enhance cooperation and undertaking of the care plan
• Participates in continuing education within and outside the facility to improve nursing skills and keep abreast of nursing developments
• Other duties as assigned
